and if yes what happens if the movie is bigger that 4.36? What then? can someone give me a little abc's in this department? thanks

If the dvd is a dvd5, select Mode-->Iso-->Read, Mode-->Iso-->Write.

If it is a dvd9, you have several ways of backing it up. Check out the guides for more info:

DVD-5 is the 4.37 that you were referring to. The DVD-9 is of course the larger of the two such as most Original DVD movies that you would purchase.
