Burning Madden 2005 dual layer disk?

Im going to attempt to burn a disk image of madden 2005, the file is 6.6 GB so will it play if i use a dvd+r dual layer disk? Sinse the DL disks are expensive im checking if it is possible before tying. Would checking if my ps2 can read DVD+R disks tell me if it can play DL disks? Im using swap magic 3.

1. your ps2 would probably not read the disc
2. swap magic can't load dual layer discs.
3. get the non collectors edition of madden 05, fits on standard dvdr.
