Hey,
This is getting me mad.I keep searchin and searchin for the cheapest site to order the fliptop+sm combo.So far i have found ordering from www.ps2fliptop.net,but there has to be cheaper sites out there.
Feedback is much appreciated.

ok thank you so much and also i was wandering if there is such thing as a dvd burner only being able to burn to dvd+r's.I have a v4 ps2 and i need dvd-r's.

you should try a dvd+r movie backup and see if your ps2 picks it up. cuz i used to have a v4 that played both +/-R media. To Fix Your Problem i suggest you buy a dual format burner, like that you can burn both type of medias

Yeah I'm with you on the Dual Format DVD burner, mine burns both and I love it. You could also try www.clearxbox.com for your Swap Disc needs. I got the white bottom, white fliptop case (which if you're buyig the Swap Discs, you should get that too.), and the Swap Magic Discs for about $40. I ordered from their site on a Sunday night and had it in my hands by that Friday.

ya i tried to play a dvd+r on my ps2 and got a "disc read error" and i do have a dual format burner.so would it still be ok if i bought dvd-r's???

No. Dual Layer is a DVD format tha allows you to burn ove 4.7GB. Dual Format is what you meant. This means your DVD burner can burn either DVD+R or DVD-R. As for gettting a flip top case with discs, check out www.gocybershopping.com It comes to about $44 USD shipped. As for brand of DVD-R, I reccomend either Ritek G04's, or TYG02. Ritek G05's are too unreliable.

I use TDK 2x DVD-R burned at 2x. I've never had a problem. I have had problems with the Ritek 8x DVD-R (Ritek G05).

fujifilm is my personal favorite. they are always manufactured by ricoh, tayo yuden, or MCC. riteks are good, but watch out for fakes. newegg.com is a safe place to buy from

i buy nothing but ritek g05's....hundreds of them. i always check shop4tech, newegg, and meritline. newegg if you need em fast. sometimes shop4techs come packaged strangely (ordered 500 and got 20 packs of 25) but all 3 have never given me a bad time. recently i have discovered that the memorex dvd-r 8x cool colors at walmart are high quality g05's. 14.88 for 30. not bad.

They are good for ps2 backups. Ritek G05's worked great with every game I tried except Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
These discs have been pretty bad as far as movie backups on stand alone dvd players. Some players play them, while others don't. They can even be burned at 1x, it still doesn't matter.
If you plan on using thwese discs just for ps2, than they are good. If you plan on backing up a movie onto these discs, don't even bother.

I actually plan on doing both.right now i have fujifilm dvd+rs and they work great for burning movies but when i backup ps2 games,all i get is a "disc read error."i have figured out that my ps2(v.4)will only read dvd-r's.so im lookin 4 a dvd that will play both movies and ps2 games.
and yes my burner is a dual format.
