PS2 Backups???

I tried to backup a PS2 game with DVD Decrypter. I have a dvd-rom and a dvd-burner. I put the ps2 game in and on dvd decrypter I set it to iso-read and it went ok. Then I used iso-write for the image. It burned correctly it said. Then when I put the ps2 game in the playstation 2 system, it tells me to put a playstation or playstation 2 disk in? What step am I missing or what added program do I need to make this work? Oh yes, I am using dvd's for the backups. Any help would be appreciated....thanks

What modchip are you using to boot them?
PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap
Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online

Do you need a mod chip to play PS2 back ups?
I have ripped the ISO file with DVD Decrypter and used it to burn the DVD but it won't play in my PS2.
It says to insert a PS2 disc . . . any ideas

You need a modchip installed, a hdd, or SwapMagic to play backups on a ps2.

Is it a HDD or Modchip or SwapMagic?

1 of those 3 methods need to be used. A modchip will allow your ps2 to read your backup just like an original game, hdd-reads the game off of a hdd to play, and the SwapMagic method allows you to play your backups by using SwapMagic, then swapping it out with your backup.

Just google ' Swap Magic ' or something and you should get plenty of sites to get it from.
