I have a modded xbox and at first lost my ms dash now that I've gotten that back and can acsess ms dash I set the clock and it holds the time until the xbox is turned off or rebooted. then on start up or restart the clock and date revert back 1/1/2002. does anyone know what causes that to happen and if so how do you correct it.

if you have a version 1.6 xbox and the x2.6 chip...the only way to fix it is to flash a 1mb m8_1.6 bios onto the chip...this will put the m8_16 bios on both banks of the chip...otherwise you are just gonna have to deal with the clock being all screwed up.

Thanx would I find that 1.6 bios "in the Usual places"

yeah....but you will need evtool to make the bios 1mb.

just put the bios in all 4 banks and save it as bios.

evtool will let you change the colors of the startup screen, get rid of that stupid upside down pink triangle, and some other stuff as well.
