i really want to make a back up copy of mortal kombat deception and this will be the first game i ever back up. i copied it to my hard drive and then to dvd-r but i get a not a valid ps2 disc(with swap magic 3.3). heres the steps i did to do it

1. inserted mortal kombat into dvd writer(usb i/o magic)
2. opened record max
3. went to build global image.
4. built mk as globe image onto hard drive(mkd.gi).
5. successfully written to hd. written to dvd-r
6. successfully written to dvd-r.
7. inserted swap magic 3.3 into ps2.
8. waited for load program and video mode screen to appear.
9. used slide tool to get swap disc out and replace with the mk dvd-r.
10. pushed tray back in and used slide tool to push tray to the left.
11. pressed x to load and got a not a valid ps2 disc.

any ideas of what i could be doing wrong?
heres some more info if its useful:
playstation 2 console version: 1.10
used esa dvd-r
dvd decrypter doesnt work with my drive:(

any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks in advanced.

never mind, i used a different brand of dvd-r(TDK). works great now. works better than my original copy. guess it really does matter.

Stick with the TDK, they have been the best brand I've ever used.
