if you mean scratching and not stracing, i think all ps2 scrathes their dvds and cds but the scracthes are superficial and they dont affect reading capacity. i think...:)

can't say i have problems with it. They scratch every now and then but it is usually due to frequent swapping. But i have never had one stop working because of it. If it looks like it is getting too scratched up then make another backup of the game just in case.
