I am trying to copy a couple of my audio CDs for the car but, even though "simulation" runs in Nero 6 work, when it comes to actually burning the files I keep geeting a terminal write error. This happens with different discs, none of which as far as I can tell are copy protected. The problem seems to happen near the start of the write process, usually within the "lead in" part. I've tried copying to hard disk and "on the fly" - no difference.
I've just downloaded the Nero 6.6 update (thanks for the 29mb file chaps - just pity those of us without a broadband exchange). Also tried holding down the shift key when loading the CD to prevent Media player launching.
Having already created 7 coasters, I'm loathe to run the Nero 6.6 version as I don't think this is the problem. Drives are both less than 2 months old (Samsung DVD player and NEC 3500 DVD recorder, both capable of 48X speeds - although things seem to take evn longer than my previous 8x writer !
Can anyone help ?
