I just sent an email to support at VERBATIM asking if their company has ever run tests to see how long data would stay on a disc and still be readable. I told them I back up home movies to their DataLife Plus series and that I was wondering if they could tell me how long the disc will last before it becomes unreadable due to the aging process. I was wondering if anyone else has ever emailed a company before asking this and if they got an answer. I doubt they will even respond to it, but I just ordered TY WhiteTops and some Verbatim WhiteTops becuase I really like Verbatim, but I notice that TY claims to have superior archival life.
