I am trying to back up A Time to Kill - this movie is broken up onto two sides - side A and side B. How do I copy it onto only 1 disk?

Do be aware that you will have to use substantial compression, and thus will lose a lot of video quality, if you do that. What's on the two sides? Is it just a "flipper" (full screen format on one side, widescreen on the other) or a "special edition" with the main movie on one side, and deleted scenes, commentary, and other "extras" on the other side? Either way, it doesn't make a lot of sense to try to cram it all onto a single dvd5.

Thanks Jim - this way looks easy enough for me.

Baz - unfortunately it is the movie that is split between the two sides.

Wow, I didn't realize that. I have that dvd, and I don't remember having to flip it to finish the movie. I'm going to check this out for myself. (I like a challenge.)

I have been converting my moms movies from 2discs to 1, she was using DVD x COPY and it split 1 dvd9 to 2 dvd5s. Go to this web site and print this out. http://home.comcast.net/-bbmayo/join2movies.htm Ive done this with about 15 movies.

ok Jim-Dandy. I laughed when I seen that. Sorry about the wrong address. A search for bbmayo shouldn't be too hard. I printed it out myself and have been using it for about fifteen movies.
