I just picked up some verbatim dvdrs at a good price 5 for 5 and some change i was just wondering if i could use these 2 backup my games cuz they say on the box digital movie ive been using maxwell dvdrs in the purple box with the purple bottoms and they work just fine no problems the reason i ask is i get my grand turismo 4 in the morning and if i have 2 back it up i wanna use the best media there is!!!

they should work, but you won't be able to back up gt 4 on them (its duel layered).

they could be anything,cmc/ritek etc etc

verbatim work well I use them in my PS2.
For a version 5/6 PS2 what DVD are prefered +R or -R ?

how can i tell if they work and gt4 is dual layered what do i use 2 back it up?

put the original in and start up DVD Decrypter and look at the information in the box. It should tell you how many layers a disc is. But everything i have heard said it was dual layer. I have a dual layer burner but have never tried backing up a dual layer game due to the fact that the discs are like $10 each which means a few messed up tries and i might as well have just bought another one.
