Just wondering if anyone has any info on this. Just purchased a 100 pcs cake. They seem to work fine right now.

I'm about half way into a 100 spindle of R03 and they've performed very nicely so far :)

Some older burners had a lot of problems getting quality burns at 8X and some firmwares limited the speed. Also some of these were labeled as 4X for the same reason. I have had great results at 8X on my NEC 3500 and marginal results on my Liteon 812S at 4X.

I bought a 100pk of these (hopeing for ricohjpn) and although they are labeled as 4x media they will burn at 8x no problem. I've used about 1/3 of the spindle and only had one backup with any problems (froze for about 1/2 second in 2 or three places). I don't think they are quit as good as the ricohjpn's but would still rate them as good budget media and superior to the G04's and G05's.
