OK here is my question, I am trying to rip some old concert footage from a dvdr to a dvdr both +. When I rip them to my hard drive it gets about 95 percent done, then it says it cannot continue due to crc error or something. Then I try to just skip that file when it asks me if I want to. I am ok having 95 percent of my conert. Then in my dvd shrink when I try to bring up the folder that I burned my movie to there is nothing there. But if I just go through my comp and check the folder there it is, but I can't access it through shrink. Any Ideas on that? When I burn a full lenght movie it is in the folder I designated. Also I heard you can force decrypter to read the disc, even through the bad stuff, can you do that? Thanks

A CRC on a burned disc means a bad burn. Shrink probably isn't happy with the files because they're incomplete.

You can't really "force" any software to read the unreadable although you may want to try another reader if possible.

There's a chance you'll see a visual glitch or some some other sort of misbobble when you reach the ignored error during playback.

There should be no degradation if you make an straight unaltered copy. Playback however depends entirely on the quality of the media, burn speed and the drive itself. Using quality media and burning no faster than 4X will help you avoid getting CRC errors in the future.

Isn't "misbobble" a cool one? :P

Everyone needs Tupperware!!! It keeps the stikcy icky fresh! Funny thing is I was rather mindlessly cruising the forums the other night when out of nowhere it popped into my mind that I needed a Tupperware link in my sig. I may mention that to my shrink next on the next visit..............

You may want to stay subscribed zenarrow - it may get interesting ;)
