I am not really a newbie to the backup world but I have heard a lot of different stuff about Blockbuster or other movie joints being able to tell if you have copied thier DVD's or not. I have heard that when you backup one of their movies it can put your IP address into the disc and they can track who the last person was to burn it. I think its bullshit personally but can someone please let me know?

BS is right on. If you are really really paranoid. You can always rip the dics with a DVD-ROM and not a DVD burner.

i'm not admitting to anything, but that seems completely impossible and counter-intuitive for a PC to put data ONTO a DVD Movie. Wouldn't that require your PC's dvd drive laser to imprint info onto the disc, therefore ruining it? I think you're safe.

Please believe me when I say this:

There is no way at this time, that anyone, anywhere, can track or be able to tell if their DVD disk has been copied.

End of story!!!

Let me repeat myself...

There is no way at this time, that anyone, anywhere, can track or be able to tell if their DVD disk has been copied.

Burner or DVD-Rom, makes no difference!
