are these DVD discs any good. I am getting ready to place an order and they sound good but I had not heard of them before?

My god!! Do a search on this site alone and you will see they are the best thing since sliced bread...
Please follow the rules...

If you would have searched for Taiyo Yudens you would have found all kinds of post's about that media and 99.9% are good reviews :-)

I've used about 40 and 10 are coasters! Stick with Ridata! I am seeking a refund from Meritline now! Taiyo Yuden is garbage!

With this users comments about "garbage TY" I guess that
the opinion of 1,824,267 people are wrong and he is right. Maybe it is the person burning the media that is

taiyo-yuden, freaking AWESOME discs, very goodprices online for them now.
Are they worth the extra 20c a disc???

I picked up some Fujifilm +R's at walmart and to my surprise they showed up Taiyo Yudens T02. Great price and easy to find.

as stated sooo many times in the past, Taiyo Yuden media is THE best imho. high quality, perfect burns, excellent playback, terrific compatibility w/ stand-alone dvd players. what more could someone ask for out of a media manufacturing company? good day to all.

I have heard that these are the best media, In a couple of forums I see "G04" and stuff similar to that, can someone please tell me what it?

hi,
the "G04" u are referring to are made by Ritek, that is the media ID code on that particular disc when you run it through a dvdidentifier program; in my opinion, another decent media manufacturer. not #1 on my list of what i would use, but, 2nd or 3rd place. i have plenty of the Ritek Ridata branded G05's (8x dvd-r media) with no problems, others have reported issues with the GO5s, but they work perfectly on my setup.
i naturally prefer the TYs (Taiyo Yudens) personally, but the Riteks are not too bad either. many people have had great success with the G04s and they are a decent disc.

you may find that there are some issues with some of the taiyo yuden brand.Fake TY's are available.

Can anyone gimme a link to a site whic they have purchased from, where they sell Original Taiyo Yuden dvd-r's? I hear there are a lottta fakes out there I dont wanna waste my money on fakes!
