i recently d/l devil may cry 3 and when i tried to burn it to a dvd i can't find the file in dvd decrypter. but when i look in my file where i put my ps2 games i see the file for devil may cry 3. anyone know whats going on here?

The Japanese version burned and played just fine for me. I don't know about the US version.

DMC3 worked without any fixes, i burned it at 1x on RiDATA , and same for Fight Night 2.
these 2 games are awsome, u guys gotta check them out

Man, nothing pisses me off more than idiots coming into these forums and writing the stupidest comments, or preaching how other people are doing the wrong thing. To all those people MIND YOUR OWN F**KING BUSINESS! People like me come on to these forums to look for help and it's annoying as hell when idiots reply with a stupid comment like "buy the game and it will work" or "you're pirating software and don't deserve help". You don't know why the person is trying to make a backup, you don't know if it's legit or not, and more importantly you shouldn't care! Did you extract the ISO first of all? (With WinRAR, etc)

thats where i am confused b/c i got 59 of these odmc3.001 files which have been unrared when i tried to burn i got invaild or unsupported file. and when i looked into the odmc3.001 file i saw this symbol <-> and i am not to sure what means. neither of the files that i got have don't have a file ext.

this what i have for devil may cry 3 and its the o-dmc3.001 that has the <-> symbol when i try to extract the file. any tips on how i can burn this to a dvd. any help is great

Hey man
I don't know what your problem is with burning the game as I didn't really read the thread but I rented a copy of DMC3 the other day. To burn it I just used DVD Decrypter to make an ISO and then wrote it using the same thing. I used a TDK dvd at 4x. My burner is a Liteon SOH1633s or something like that.
Got it to work without any problems. Oh yeah and I'm using the swap magic disk 3.3 with slide card on a v7 PS2 I believe it is. Sorry but that's all I got for ya.

jtc, I can help you. First of all though, I agree, Redlife you are a prick. These forums are about helping people, no one ever said he was a pirate, and you have absolutely no idea if he owns the game or not. Who cares if he downloaded or rented or borrowed. He has a legitimate question about burning here, and if you don't wanna help then move on. Okay all those .rar files that you got, those are actually the ISO image. It has been broken and each part compressed (for easier file transfer). It's fairly simple what you have to do, just double click the first file labeled "o-dmc3.001", and you should see something representing an ISO image symbol that your PC uses. Now just click and drag it onto your desktop and it should start the de-compression process. Once it is done you can burn it using your favorite DVD burning program that allows you to burn images to disc. Hope this helps...

Yup, thought so, you didn't extract. A lot of newbies seem to make that mistake. :) Just keep it in mind in the future. ISO's are always 1 file, so if you see many files it probably means you haven't gotten to the actual ISO yet.

A little off-topic, but does anyone know why scene groups make their releases in those 4000x1MB packages?
I mean, most people who download their stuff no longer have to download in parts. Not only that, but renaming each file, just so that it'll extract is a real pain.
But why am I complaining? It's piracy, and in that world there are no rules.
Heh. The increasingly worsening quality of releases made over the last few years are the reason why I back up my own games and movies.

he just meant that when you extract the files you will be left with an ISO file (for example devil_may_cry_3.iso). Sometimes in windows XP files with certain extensions are represented by different icons. Like music files with extensions MP3 are represented by a music note, or whatever. What's important is that you double click the first file in the series of files you downloaded (you might need to install WINRAR or WINACE to decompress it, then it will ask if you want to extract the file. Say yes and then when you're done you should have a new file that is .ISO

ok i unzipped the 001 file then a zip file cam up then i unzip that n i got folders like iop data pveh and 3 files one is .sfv n the others name isslus_210.50 now what am i supposed to do ?
