hi,

I have a question regarding the xbox DVD Rom. When I turn on the xbox (with and without a game disc in the DVD Rom), I notice that a short buzz(bzzz) sound coming from the xbox DVD Rom drive.

Is this normal? Does a box make this buzz noise when it first start up? When the xbox power on (with and without a game disc in the DVD Rom), listen closely at the DVD Rom drive and this is where I heard a sound buzz (bzzz) sound noise.

So is this bzzz noise normal for all xbox or just mine? I was kinda worried about if my DVD Rom drive is going out on me?

Please test and check your xbox to see if your xbox makes this bzzz noise when power on without a game disc in the DVD Rom.

I have a version 1.6 xbox with Excuter 3 CE modchip.
