Try using DVD Decrypter at slowest write speed.

if your ps2 is a version v3 or below-dvd+r will not work,if it is v4,you may get away with it,v5 and above plays all formats

if it is the latter, you are probaly using crap media.
what are you using?

that may be your problem
copying "on the fly" is not recommended
load the game onto your HD,then copy it
use dvd decrypter for this
MODE/ISO/READ
MODE/ISO/WRITE.........(burn the MDS file) at the slowest speed possible

let me know how you get on

PS what VERSION is your ps2?

The decrypter did recognized the DVD-R I put in it made the Image file then I did iso - write and gave it the MDF file (I think it's the name of it) it was the only file that was showen on the folder anyway.
(I used TEAC DVD-R)

It started burning then finished and still the game don't start at my PS2...

The DVD-R I tried to burn from works at my PS2...

then its just a case fo the ps2 not liking the media you are using(the philips)not nesecarily the dvd+r
for a test copy the dvd-r to another dvd-r,see if that works.
and are you positive it is a version 5/6?

First of all thanx very much for your help...

The Philips DVD+R that I tried to use did got start but it got stuck after the 30 sec. and didn't load the game.. I read here that it might happened if my PS2 won't read DVD+R and I need to try DVD-R coz that will work.
The DVD-R I tried to use was TEAC.
I did it and it didn't help the DVD-R even didn't start.

And I'm possitive I have the 5 or 6 ver. I checked it with a menual here... the model name is 3004R and I have 8 screws at the bottom and the screw they showd at the HD connection place at the back.

So what do you think???

i think its the classic case of the media you are using,
you are correct,you have a version 5
i would stick to dvd+r for this game, but the only thing i can suggest is burn at the slowest speed possible for this game try x1
if can try other "+" type media i would
although phillips are quite good

download this and tell me the media ID

i have a V5/6 and V7 and always use Phillips discs. But i use the 8X -R type and never have any problems. I backed up GTA San Andreas and it worked just fine. If your burner can do -R discs give them a try. The Phillips discs i can tell you are not the problem. Like i said i have made bunches of backups on them and never have problems. They are good quality media. Also use DVD Decrypter and burn at the slowest speed (1X) and see how that works.
