I am using a no-solder modchip with Swap Magic Discs.

Before they used to work fine with Alcohol 120% with Maxell DVD-, but I changed to Verbatim DVD- and later my newly burned games with alcohol 120% won't boot. I get a pink reminder instead of a blue reminder.

Is it because of the discs or is it because of my laser dying?

Urgent, Please Help!

Edit: Would it be better to use a DMS3 EZI Modchip since I don't know how to solder yet :-D.

well ...does your older titles u burned on? if so, then its ur media. some media is very imcompatible with some burners..for instance, i couldnt burn alot of diff. dvd's with my i/o magic dvd burner, so i scrapped it for my sony burner, and its all gravy..all discs seem to work the same..anyways..

try playing ur old games. if they are just fine..its media..

if they mess up too..well...then sorry dude

thanks for the response, well ffx runs fine and my old burned games run ok, (mgs3 sometimes doesnt load right and has a hard time reading most of the time). Any recommendations for a type of media. I used to use Maxell now I am trying to use Verbatim.

are u able to get the same kind of media u used before??if so, go back..

i use ritek 4x dvd+r's, and have no problems with games, unless they need to be rebuilt or require a patch....other than that, all my games have worked perfectly..

i am using a flip top...dont know if theres much difference in association to game use with your no solder chip
