I have a new external Sony Drx-710ul double layer dvd rewriter. I have downloaded the nero software that it came with along with the dvd decryper and dvd shrink. I have no idea on how to make backup copies of the files larger than the 4.36GB. I have tried to shrink first then decrypt and vice versa. The files from the decrypter aren't recognized by the shrink and vice versa. And I just can't figure out how to get nero to work. Need to know which nero application I need to use (ie...express, burning rom, vision express, or back it up...) Also I need to know if the nero version provided by Sony has full capibilites. I really need idiot proof instructions.

I have checked all the guides on this site. My DVD Shrink doesn't automatically bring up the decrypter. It will compress but only will copy to the hard drive without instructing the decrypter to write the dvd. I actually found someone who had step by step instructions and I still can't get it to work.

It can be frustrating at first [learning new software n all that]. But once you've got it down as a working method , then you can start experimenting all of your own accord :-)
