The other day I noticed that the colour was not quite right while playing a dvd.
I have it hooked up using the 3 component video option
with good quality rca cables.
The cables have not been removed since I set the system up about 9 months ago.
It is Toshiba DVD and I have it hooked to a Sony Grand Wega rear projection LCD.
The colour on the set is fine with cable or a VHS feed.
On a chance I gave one of the cables from the DVD player a little twist and the color corrected.
What would cause a cable that has not been removed to develop a bad contact.
I have also had this problem in the past with audio cables and made a post asking about it in the audio forum.
The cables were new, heavy gauge, gold contact type.
They worked fine for a few while and then seem to start to only allow part of the signal through.
