How do I format dvd+rw's to act like a floppy disk? I am using the latest version of nero and I also am using the sony dru-500a. Is there software to format these dvd's? Everytime I want to add stuff with nero it erases everything on the disk and starts over...Help! Thanks!

Also, I am running windows 98 so I am not able to burn dvd over 4.3 gig. My operating system does not seem to recognize the drive as a dvd burner so It would not allow me to format the dvd+rw...please help! Thanks!

just use nero and completely erase the dvd+rw just like a cd-rw

Thank you very much for the reply. I still had some trouble after I did a full erase of the dvd rw. Nero and adaptec would not let me format the TDK dvd+rw although it did do a full erase. It thinks that the drive is a dvd rom drive. It says that I only have 1.99gb free. My operating system is windows 98 and it thinks that the drive is a cdrw drive....???? Is there an update for windows 98 so it can recognize this drive? The drive is a sony dru 500-a. If not I'm thinking about updating to windows 2000...Anybody else???Please help?

You definatly need win 2000
I have a Ricoh DVD+RW/R and when I installed the wrong driver it said it was a CD-Rw/R
