Watch AVI files as they are downloading

Is there any programs out there that let you watch video files as they are being downloaded, because when I try to watch videos that are in the middle of downloading with windows media player it won't let me. I know you can do it with kazaa, but I have WinMX. If anyone out there has any advice for me I would appreciate it.

with winmx I dont think you can preview what you are downloading but now as you mention it, this looks quite interesting
