i apologize if am posting this in the wrong thread.
i have a sony drx 500ul. i am trying to install a new firmware but i get Error-1 "write buffer failed" can someone help? thanks

Make sure all other programs are turned off or disabled. What burning app do you have installed on your PC?

Do you have InCD installed with Nero?? If so get rid of it and try again. Here is a tool from Nero that will make sure it is gone

hi i ended all apps. i uninstalled incd but still get the same error. i also have dvd x copy. do you think that is the problem? thanks

You could try re-downloading the flash program just incase its a bad file you have. Do make sure though that programs like your antivirus are stopped before you attempt to flash an EPROM chip.
