Hi, complete Newbie here...

I have some uncompressed .AVI clips... I need to adjust the brightness of the clips and then compress the files for web friendly viewing...
a 160mb .AVI need to be compress to around 3mb...

I now have Adobe Premiere trial version...
When I click on the "video" tab... then "adjust"... I see "brightness & contrast" .... but I dont know how to use it...

Also... when I try to compress the file.... "export clip"... then "save for web"... I get the Cleaner 5ez... I tried couple of settings, QuickTime... WindowsMedia, etc... and the clips always end up all messed up...

Anybody could help?
I'm I using the right software...?

thanks

First of all, I don't know how to compress the video, but if you want to adjust the brightness with the program you are using, all I can tell you is just mess with it for a little while and try to figure it out to your liking, but I would try VirtualDub. It is free but probably not as fancy as Adobe premiere, but it will do. But before you download VirtualDub, just mess with the controls on adobe premiere and if you mess up the video that you are editting, just don't save the new changes. That's about all I can tell you because I don't have Adobe Premiere, so just keep adjusting the brightness and messing around with it until your figure out and understand how to use it. I hope this helped you a little bit,
Collin
