Are they good for copying games or not?? Do games work better for version 1 or the higher versions. My mod chip is soldered in. Are soldered ones better?
THanks

Ok, Now that I have found out that my ps2 is version 1, I have burned a dvd movie on a dvd -r without a menu screen if that matters. I have tried the dvd in a dvd player and it works fine. I have a plain ps2, (no mods) What am I doing wrong? Thanks

an unmodded ps2 will play dvdrs but to play the games you need a mod chip or swap disc i recomend a flip top and swap magic 3.3 discs. alos dvd decreypter works wonders for ps2 games just use the - r media and you should be fine.

yea, thats exactly what i thought. Does it matter If i have a menu on the dvd or not? The other thing is that, I burned it into dvd quality and then burned it. (converted AVI to .m2v) Would that matter instead of turning it into parts like Video_TS and stuff. Please help me with both questions. Thanks a lot.

oooo, well i have read everywhere that i want to use dvd -r's for a version 1 ps2. Also, any help with the following questions would be apprecitated.
-"Would that matter instead of turning it into parts like Video_TS and stuff?"
-"Does it matter If i have a menu on the dvd or not?"
Thanks

with realy good media the laser reads it easyer and there is less of a chance for errors on the disc itself.
