Is there any way that a PS2 can read a burned game w/o a modchip or using the swap method, I'm asking this because I burned some DVDs and they work fine on my PS2 as well as on my X-box

Backup movies will work on the ps2 without the use of a modchip or boot disc. The reason the ps2 backup games Don't is because of the boot information put on the BCA (Burst Cutting Area) where we can't copy.
