Hey, I just got my swap magic from an online retailer. Having a major problem. No matter what kind of disc I put in after swapping, I get a red border around the left and top part of the screen where it tells me to "insert disc." I even tried legit PS2 games (DVD and CD). Nothing. Nada. What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.
I'm manually ejecting the tray (with my fingers) after using the swap card, replacing the disc, manually closing the tray, and then "re-locking" the tray.
I'm getting a stuttering sound coming from the motor, like it's not physically accessing the disc. I'm afraid it's a mechanical problem, but I don't know how to fix it. My PS2's never given me problems before. It still works great without loading swap magic.
id say just load the swap magic dvd and try SWAPPING for original dvd games like you tried. Once you get that to work, move on to backups (1 thing at a time).
