Netflix might of slowed down in part to the exponential number of new members and probably a corprate memo about slowing the videos down.
Look at it. They get only 20 bucks if they ship 3 videos or 300 video. If you worked there what would you do? "Hey it's that Venom guy again. I just sent him these movies this mornin? I'm making this couch potato wait for 2 hours before I send him his videos."ya know?

I'd really like to snoop in their internal e-mails. But the real place I wanna snoop (with a baseball bat) is at the Post Office Mail room.

I agree with NoHelp. My BBV movies come to me opened half the time but so far not Netflix (of course I've only gotten 1 batch of 3 from them). BBV takes FOREVER!!

Oh...so now I am being singled out, huh Oopsla....LOL!

Yeah, I see your point, pretty good....

I also would like to know what is up with the post office, cause I ordered a book one time, and when i got the package....it was as if my mail person just wanted to see what i got....it was a programming book...guess when he/she saw it, they got intimidated....because they probably wouldn't understand it....and slipped it neatly back into the package...LOL

I was SO going to go to the post office and be like...what the hell!!!

But, didn't bother....just won't be doing THAT anymore...

Its not a bad idea. They need to use better cases to send the dvd's in. Something with more of like a seal or something.

I definately agree with that....like it was stated earlier....kinda like handing over the keys to your car and hoping someone would steal it...

But then again, it is always going to be a tug or war no matter what procedures they come up with....

I still think Netflix is 100 times better than BBV. And the only opened ones I receive are BBV discs. It doesn't seem like their envelopes are cheap or anything, but why would the postman open them and not Netflix? Maybe his wife works for Netflix or something and he's trying to make their competition look bad. They're doing a good enough job of that on their own though.

You right that is so true it is only the blockbuster ones. Sometimes I would not even get the disk. I would get the flap on it with just my name on it! The disk would never come. Blockbuster also never checked the dvd's coming back in anyway. I got one dvd of shrek I that had the imprint of a quarter. Like someone got the dvd and put a quarter on it and left it for like 2 months. Now do you think that worked?? lol

BBV must use cheap envelopes. They don't seem that way. Unless you live right next to me or something and we have the same mailman:)

Hey peeps,

No offense to anyone out there, but BBV sucks.

I am not biased about this, but have only one good reason as to why I say it...the only reason why they are in the mail rental game now against Netflix is because they are trying to take back all the customers Netflix just took.

So they just threw some stuff together and said, "Hey, we can probably get our customers back, because we lost em." On top of that, one of the MAIN reason reasons why BBV lost most of the customers...and I know you all know this....let's say it together now....LATE FEES!!!! Wow! Big surprise there. Who likes paying them..not me! ;)

Almost like Sprint trying to have some pull in the cell phone biz, where everyone else already had was doing the free nights and weekend, and family plans...Sprint thought customers would be dumb enough to stay with them by STILL charging them per minute plans...damn do I remember those days well...LOL!

Anyways, I say...if BBV works and/or Netflix works for you...good for you...but like I said in my other post....there are DEFINATELY going to be more alternatives! Which I am SO going to try. ;)

Have a good one all!

Speaking of which how ARE the envelops for BBV...Netflix's are like BRIGHT RED!

They must use cheap envelopes. They fall apart completely. I mean we should not even have to be talking about the strenght of envelopes. We should just get our dvd's period. Its sad. We whould not even have to gribe on sites like this. We should just get what we are promised. Netflix is better but more expensive and sometimes with them I did not get dvd's as quickly. When i first had them about a year ago they were good...but i got them back like 6 months ago and they slowed down in terms of getting movies by about a day.

I started this post griping about the thieves at the Post Office.
Think about it. The envelope. Simply a container to ship dvds in. It can be red, blue or whatever (I personally liked the Shrek green envelopes). Only real option for Netflix or BBV is to ship them in a 8.5 by 11 or larger envelope. Kinda like they used to do with tapes at the record stores long ago. Make them big enough that it would be harder to steal. Problem is, it would cost more. I am sure the number crunchers figured it was cheaper in the long run to simply replace the dvd then opt for more expensive packaging. So I guess my gripe is over. The Post Office will always have their thieves, the DVD shipping industry will always have it's losses, and I will have delays.
Such is life, the beer is on me guys.
