I have read the instructions on how to backup the a ps2 game. i did all that and when i tried to play the game all i got was a red screen saying please insert a playstation two fotmat disk.? can any1 help me out here plz?

No i dont have a mod chip i didnt realise you had to i tohught it would just play with it being a backup?
