Nerovision Express 2 and underrun protection

I'm new to DVD writing since getting a Lite-On burner that came with bundled NeroVision Express 2 software.

After a bunch of fits and starts with the software (including downloading NVE 3, which kept crashing - I went back to NVE 2), I've gotten pretty good at editing using the software.

However, before I burn to a DVD, I wanted to minimize my chances of "burning coasters" and am unable to find the checkbox for "buffer underrun protection" in the recording settings. The manual for the software says it's there (they even have a screen shot), but it's not there in my software.

My drive documentation (Lite-On SOHW-1633S) says that it has buffer underrun protection.

How do I turn this feature on, through either Nerovision Express, or through the drive's software/drivers?

TIA for any help. And if anyone has any other tips or things to be alert for with this drive or the Nerovision software, please let me know.
