I backed up two games for my PS2 on RiData 4X DVD+R discs. The games played just fine 3 or 4 times each (with SM3.3). Now I cant get them to play anymore. Do I need better media? Tks.

What version PS2 do you have and what speed are you burning at?

If you bought the media within the last couple of months, you might have bad media. If it's been longer than like 3 months or so, it should be good. As long as your lowest burn speed is somewhere around 2x or 1x (never more than 2.4x), that should be ok. I guess the simplest thing to do is try different media. If you get better results, well there's your answer. If not then I don't really know.

I set the read speed of the original to minimum. I don't know if this helps any or gives you a better success rate, but that's what I do. I don't run into problems.

By the way, which games are they that are giving you problems?
