I tried burning my movie to a dvd but, when I inserted the dvd cd it said it will not fit. the movie is 108 minutes long and the dvd is 104 minutes long. Is there anyway that I can edit the movie and trim or compress 4 minutes so I can burn it. Is there dvds that can be purchased that can hold more than 108 minutes? thanx for the help.

Run it through DVD Shrink. It will compress it to fit a blank dvd.

It would have helped if you said that in the first place. You need to convert it with something like Nero Vision Express or DVD Santa. Both will burn the final product.

Here is a free program for converting, and works very well and easy. Load your file and hit convert. It can't get any easier than that..
DivX To DVD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm

After done converting you can burn with any burning program
