I have a DVDRW IDE1004 with firmware version 0039. Keep having problems with "cannot perform end of disc-at-once" on Nero 5.5 and finalzing on DVD X Copy. Is it my firmware? If so, where do I get the firmware.
would not hurt to check on newer firmware -- the manufacturer of your burner should have a web site where you can verify whats available.
Or you can always look on DB website and get there version for your drive.
they here:- http://tdb.rpc1.org/
they show "" Currently RPC1 firmwares based on 0038, 0039, 0040, 0042, 0043, 0045, 0047, 0048, 0049, 0050, 0250, 0350, 0450, and 0051 "" for your drive BTC DRW 1004IM (DVDRW IDE 1004) -- the latest being 0051.
I feel kinda silly, but I don't know what motherboard I have. Plus I don't know the manufacturer of my DVD drive. I do know it's DVDRW IDE1004 with firmware version 0039.
On top of that, Nero InfoTool says my aspi installation is corrupted. Will the firmware update fix that?
Look in device Manager and see if you see NVidia .. !
If you look at my post you will see the model number of your drive ((BTC DRW 1004IM (DVDRW IDE 1004) )) -- see the numbers that show the different firmware !! you say you have 039 -- well there has been quite a few that came out after.. use the latest one 051.
Next what Aspi is showing as corrupted .. Nero has its own Aspi.
You could also upgrade that Nero.. to the newest version 6 -- but that cost money ~~ !
