There are no current updates to Xcopy products they arec still selling overpriced & outdated software. The last version is over a year old and will not do a lot of newer movies.I am glad you are happy with yours I do not use my Platinum any more, too many problems.

They do have the 4.038 update. The only thing I had to do for some of the brand new DVD's was to get a different codec, and it all works very well.... No problem at all. However I do have a new program from BVRP called Digital Video Duplicator that will do anything..... just in case I run into somrthing DVD X won't do.

dvdxcopy-international helped me with a problem with X rescue that did not work until the upgrade to 4.0.3.8 I have un-installed both Platinum and X rescue in favor of better programs.

Here is what I use now

DVD Decrypter to rip Free
DVD Shrink to compress Free
Nero Recode2 to compress/burn Purchased

For the best quality

DVD Rebuilder V 0.74 Free
CinemaCraft Encoder Basic Purchased

It all comes down to whatever works best for you!

What program are you using as a ripper?
The Xcopy products with a ripper don't do the movies with Sony's Arrcoss protection.

Not to be Anal but you might want to check out the rules while your here.
No all Caps
