I have a ps2 version 9. my first question, is it possible to take the cover of the ps2 and unscrew the lid of the cd laser then using gameshark or AR2 play burned games. i have researched this for days but i came across website that said it wasnt possible with ps2 version 8 and higher.
Second question is i have a matrix infinity chip i have never soldered anything in my life. is it possible with a few days of practice i would be able to install this chip
1. i don't think actionreplay/gameshark will even boot in a version 9.
2. i wouldn't risk it. If you look, there are some very small spots you have solder to.
i see you reply to alot of posts while reading all these entries i was hoping that u would answer mine as well. one more question does swap magic allow me to play alot of ps2 backup or is it limited to a couple.
