first off i have burned 50 plus movies at this point

I use dicriptor , shrink and nero.
i have an emprex 16x burner.
my first 50 were done using great quality 4x r+ dvd's -no coasters worked great.
i just bought great quality 4x- dvds and now i have nothing but problems.
i have to burn slower and half the time the movie gets to 100% burn and then as its writing the lead out the burn fails. i almost think the dvds are a little to short? i have been thinking about moving my controls in shrink to manual and adding a little more compression.to leave some room. And yes i plan on buying some better ty dvd's to test.

Great Quality isn't so great quality... Its the disc's man.. Also try updating the firmware to your writer..

I updated the burner, reloaded Nero.

i believe it is the disks
last night i ran a check on one of the burns that worked and i was very suprised at the quality of the burtn
i checked it at 4x
the charts averaged in the are of 12
with highs going up to about 50

I will be buying new media ASAP
