Guys,

I just aquired a few backups and I'd like to make additional backups from the source disk.

I tried nero, i tried dvd decrypter, and I tried alcohol to copy the disks. Nothing worked, i'm getting Error Read Failed in Nero - Read Errors in DVD Decryptor, and similar errors in Alcohol program when trying to copy.

These games work fine on the ps2 and have been copied before on my friends pc. I'm wondering why all ps2 games cannot be copied on my PC.

Has anyone ever experienced a problem like this? I just got a mod chip for my ps2..and it sucks that I cant make copies of already copied games.

yeah, the game isnt scratched...it just worked on my friends PC.

I tried rebooting the machine, and also tried to decrypt an original game with DVD Decrypter...and that worked...weird.

It looks like i'm having problems with stripping or copying only burned games. Burned or Real dvd movies are fine though...just the PS2 games are the problems.

What do you guys use to copy ps2 games, do you copy on the fly with Nero? decrypter? or anything else?

Your CD/DVD-rom drives cannot recognize these discs properly. With out having to update bios, drivers, blah, blah, blah, you're just better off buying a new drive.

i just used decrypter again, and it worked fine on another copied game. but then i put the original "problem game" and the same thing happened, and it just worked 20 min ago at a friends house. They are both the same exact media, both ridata+r's.

Yes, my PC recognizes it as soon as i put it in the drive too.

here is the error.
