ive just found out you need a patch to backup and play this game.....how the hell do you get the patch to work?..ive made an iso file with dvd decrypter .this is stored on my hard drive...when i try to extract the patch to it nothing happens..it just leaves the patch.i dont know how to get it to work...its supposed to take a while isnt it?please help im a newbie!

you should do a search, there are many,many,many,many
post here with instructions, but here you go anyway.

download the patch and unzip it.
copy the patch into the folder where you ISO file is
rename the ISO file ptc-merc
run the patch then burn the new ISO it created
it should take about 1/2 hour for it to do it's thing.
if you get like a 500kb file and it is done real fast you did something wrong.

thanks for the advice........but it still wont have it.it freezes even sooner!this is the only game ive had trouble with!what am i doing wrong?

Try 2 rebuild the image.Did the same thing with this game.Works great now.Patch didn't work for me.

I just burned it with DVD Decrypter and it works fine. I don't use swap magic though, I have a modchip. That may be why.
