Hi haas anyone downloaded the action replay max evo edition with swap magic from the net and has a mod chip in their ps2 ? please reply back im having problems. i have a modchip but i dont know how to make this work

You CANNOT copy swap magic. It's Imossible. Swap Magic is for BOOTING the games.. so what are you gonna use to BOOT up swap magic lol?
You'l have to BUY Swap Magic. ;)

mike try to read and keep the yada yada....
u can use that version of ar max with build in swap magic fix with every modchip and sm , doesnt matter

thanks for explaining it to him r0c0. i tried it but the only codes that worked with it was of Prince of persia sands of time and nothing else like even gta3 doesnt work

AR MAX
DVD BACKUPS
1. Boot AR MAX
2. Select the codes you want
3. Select Start Game
4. The cd/dvd drive will now eject automatically.
If you have a version 1-8 ps2 replace the AR MAX with the swap magic cd.
If you have a version 9/10 ps2 replace the AR MAX with the Swap magic dvd.
Once you have made the appropriate swap press eject to close the cd/dvd drive and press x.
5. Once the Swap magic cd/dvd has loaded do the following...
If you have a version 1-8 ps2 swap the swap magic cd with the cdloader using ea method and press x.
If you have a version 9/10 ps2 swap the swap magic dvd with the dvdloader using ea method and press x.
6. Once the cd/dvdloader has loaded press eject and swap the cd/dvdloader with a high toc original such as the swap magic dvd and press eject to close.
7. Wait about 7 seconds and press x.
8. Once the screen that says "swap dvdr by ea method" comes up swap the high toc original with your dvd-r backup using ea method and press x.
9. Your backup will now load with cheats.

I have Gamshark2 v4.1,CodeBreaker 7.0 and AR Max Evo.All of these runs fine with my PS2 with Messiah 2 modchip.CB8 and higher only can run on DMS4,Matrix Infinity and DUO2 modchips with latest firmware.
Mostly I use ARMax Evo although some ppl don't like it.As AR Max codes can be downloaded and put them into the MC so no need to type.For example AR Max got 2330 codes for GT4 game that's huge.
There is an application where you can strip down the games cheats to make the AR Max codelist smaller.It is called MAX Codelist Manager [http://www.mirality.co.nz/maxcode.php]

Here is the link where u can download Codebreaker, ARMAX Evo, Gameshark, Xploder blar blar blar (got lots of stuff here) Scroll down til u find Gameshark 4.01 & so on (it actually is a GS 4.1, dunno the site error type)

p/s: if u have a USB keyboard, then ARMAX Evo and Gameshark 4.1 is for u coz both support USB keyboard, so easy to type codes. But for ARMAX Evo, can use thumbdrive oso, which is much easier.

Well, this link is DOA, so where can i get the AR MAX EVO backup???
Or do one, since i've got the original, but i can't make a working backup to run with SwapMagic with CloneCD, Alcohol, Blindwrite, Nero or any other way!!!!!!!!
Any hints??????
