hey i have been burning dvds now for ages and want to start downloading and burning ps2 games as they are gettin expensive but i dont know how is there any guides for a complete newbie?

Illegal, Illegal, Illegal!!
I figured everybody knew that by now. If you want to download and burn games you will just have to figure it out on your own due to that fact that no one can really help you due to the legal issue involved, and i think it goes against the forums rules. Do a search and you may find something the someone else wrote about it.

sorry my bad thought thats what this forum was about i now know its about copying games and backing them up any way ignore this thread as i dont even know how to back up games or the stuff to use etc

You know...honestly, it is a good question....but you have to take in account that it has been asked...A MILLION TIMES.
No to sound rude, but if you want to do that kind of thing, just look through the threads. Start with the filesharing one and then go to all the ps2 forums.
Also, don't be afraid to ask a question, just before you do, read the other threads, more than likely and 9 times out of 10 what you ask, has already come up.

If you want to know how to back up games you have, that i can help you with. There is a sticky thread in the PS2 section below this one which gives instructions for all of the most popular software people use. DVD Decrypter is free and works great. Also very easy to use.

I back mine up so i don't have to use the originals. That way they stay in perfect, unscratched condition for many years of playing pleasure.

hi there,
ive been burnig ps2 games using DVD Decrypter my problem is that when i put the game in my ps2 the screen starts jumping up and down and its in black and white can anyone tell me wy i am having this problem plz

Sounds like youre trying to play a PAL(Europe) game on an NTSC (where ever you are) tv. The signals aren't the same. You have to patch the game from PAL to NTSC to play it right.

open up the game in,and check what the files are
if you have a sles file,its PAL
if you have a slus file,its NTSC
