It isn't a lie. The site-admins at ps2nfo.com received an email of the people behind swap magic which confirmed the rumors swap magic 3.6 is about 2 be released.

Dunno...just read it at their site.They will get test dvd for a review for ps2nfo.com.So they couldn't say what new features it has.Don't understand either because the 3.3 version is just out indeed.

Wouldn't surprise me if they bought a version of swap magic just so that you can play backup's of GT4 and other dual layer titles (if and when they come out). But even that's pretty quick going, I've only just bought 3.3!!

apparently these are the specs but dont take my word for it:

and apparently they have stock NOW, which will be available to buy through their site in the next couple of days.
Right thats the good news......
Sorry guys but.....
I have also been informed that the new v3.6 will NOT support dual-layer media !
V3.6 is simply an improved V3.3 with such features as:
AUTOMATIC PAL/NTSC region detector
So I wouldnt get too excited about this release folks!

ive ordered sm 3.6 it cost me £13 from ebay its cheaper than 3.3.
