ALright, I'm not much of a PC whiz, so I need some help.

I'm trying to burn Cd's using Windows media player's burn function. After burning, I get an error that it didn't work. It says I need to try a diff. speed, or use another type of blank Cd. I tried the slower speeds, it still didn't work.y question is, is it the burner, or the program? do I need new Cd;s, or can I use another program? and if so, what are some good programs that I could use?


The type of Cds I have: HP invent CD-R 52X 80min./700MB

first thing i would do is stop useing windows for burning cd's,and dissable it in control panel>>administrative tools>>component services>>services local>>iampi cd-burning com service>>dissable.
then invest in a good third party programe like Nero.
