sorry if there is a post already i did search but i must not have used the right key words.

my problem is i have a hdtv ive got hooked up to my cpu. my monitor is crap so i was woundering if i can configure my tv higher than my monitor. i have a cheap card i was trying out before spending the big bucks on a good one. gforce 5200 ive got my tv cloned and screen showed as full screen. my tv does 1080i and i think would do more but as i try to setup my monitor goes blank cause its to high. any help please.
