Hi all,

I've had many problems trying to get my PStwo to read discs burnt on my Emprex 16x dual layer burner. It's got the latest firmaware and I'm using DVD Decrpter to burn the .iso. For some reason my pstwo will not read any 8x certfied DVD-R's that I burn. For example I had a friend burn a DVD movie for me onto a verbatim DVD-R 8x and it works fine. When I did the same movie with the same discs it won't read it (although the xbox, PC and dvd player reads it)......so I'm guessing it's something about the re-writer that my pstwo doesn't like. Having said that it will read any 4x certified disc that I burn (Ritek G04's for example). Any one else had similar problems? Not sure wether I need to buy a new re-writer.

very odd. Not a problem with either of mine.
I have a V7 and a slim PSTwo and i only use Phillips 8X DVD-R discs. Although it may help that my DVD Burner is also a Sony.
