Hey JD, I ordered(4x) them and they're on the way. Nice price, no shipping charge.
And yeah, what's the deal with the ADs all of a sudden?

Jester, here's bbmayo's post from an earlier post about shop4tech. Might not be the same ones, but you should be careful. Take the advice of people here - just go to Best Buy and buy the Fuji +Rs which are TYs.
"Sonic DVD-R x8 are also fakes :-)
Check out these butt munchers!! They even say these are Authentic TY's ...http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_item&id=2532&cata=1&s_cata=88
I wrote TY a email and they assured me those were not there disks!! How do they get away with this crap ??"

These "value" TYs from supermediastore, shop4tech, and meritline are all the same thing. Some are G01s and others are G02. There is no way to tell until you open the wrapper and check the media. All are genuine.
By the way, Sonics are not fake. They are genuine Sonics. They are crap, but they are genuine and are not sold as anything but Sonics.
NEC 3500, 2.18
Liteon 812S, US0Q (scans only)
LG 4163B, A103
AOpen 1648 AAP, 1.07
Still a few bugs in the system...

I've got some TY's on the way.
This will sound really newbie, but where do I check to make sure that they are the 'real thing'(made in Japan), when they get here?
If they are, I intend to return to the Supermedia Store and pick up 200 more.

djlen,There are several ways to check the I.D. of your discs. If you have DVD Decrypter, you can put the disc in, and click mode/iso read,or download this free program.
http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
You can use dvdinfopro to test your burns for crc errors, check your drive speed, etc.
good luck

OK, I'll through one into the Decrypter. Seems like the easiest way to do it.
