Help me
I have posted this question on another part of Afterdawn and nobody has got back to me please somebody help me
My friend has put the Auto installer Deluxe on there X-box now it won't do anything they didn't know what they were doing what is this program and how do we get it off please help me

Get Slayer's Autoinstaller disc and hopefully it will fix the problem, most of the time it does.

Insert it in your Xbox, it might not boot the first time. If so, just leave the disc in and power off, then power back on and it should work. If not, try a few more times, should work then.

If I have to use it through my PC how do I connect my X-box to my PC and is it okay to burn Slayers using a CDRW, See Im learning!!!!!

you can use a cdr. No need wasting a dvd. When you try to burn it using nero how are you telling it to burn? If you tell it to burn as a data disk it won't work. The easiest way i found was to have a shortcut to nero on your desktop and then drag the required ISO onto the shortcut. Nero will automaticly realise what you need to burn.

I do burn it on Nero as a DVD Iso ,cos I have done it and its not booting on the X-box and I have switched it on and off loads of times I am on a mission now I will do it? be easy if any of you could just pop round and do it for me!!!!!!! he he

Most Xboxes don't read CD-R media, use CD-RW or DVD-RW instead. Also, try DVD-Decrypter to burn it. It's the best free burning program there ever is.

Did that and Nero said unexpected file format getting mad, I was burning it as an ISO

you can use cdr's. I did.
Anyway, I remember that when I used Nero there were a couple of settings that needed to be changed and for the life of me I can't remember exactly what they were. I don't think I bothered to change them back after I burnt slayers so I'm just going off of my current settings. Soooo... maybe these will help. If not I'm sorry.
choose new compilation,
CD Rom(ISO),
Data mode 1,
File system ISO 9660 + Joilet,
File Name length(ISO) Max of 11= 8+3Chars (Level 1),
Character set(ISO) ISO 9660 (Standard ISO CD Rom),
Relax Restrictions
Allow path depth more than 8 directories,
Allow more than 255 characters in path,
Allow more than 64 characters in joilet names.

I have used DVD Decrypter to burn it and Nero and neither will boot from the X-box same message refer to contact services with error code 05 which I looked needs to be locked its doing my head in now

I have used my last CDRs and I have just dvdr now and its not the discs has its the same discs that i use for my xbox (mine works fine), I have to do this has hes on about going out to buy another X-box, when I believe this can be fixed, So any ideas on what I am doind wrong

right I have just put the Slayers Disc in my X-box and it works fine (Duh I should have thought of that earlier) so does anybody know what I can do then The other X-box boots up the Auto-installer but not the Slayers disc and the code 05 means it needs to be locked (I think) so is there another program and anything else I can do.

right try and explain myself better
The code 05 means that the xbox needs to be locked, so how do I ,lock it and take in mind I have never put my xbox to my pc I thought the x-box would need to be unlock if its chipped. in Auto installer, I can't access the unlock/lock x-box bit it just freezes on the loading bit, if I can't load Slayers is there anything else I can do

As I've stated previously, each Xbox is different. Some can read a certain type of media, some can't. You will just have to try different brands and find out which will work. I'd recommend using CD-RW or DVD-RW since almost all Xboxes are compatible with them.

Is the HDD retail or is it an upgraded one? The retail should be able to lock/unlock. But if you have replaced it with a bigger HDD, some HDDs don't have the lock/unlock feature. Maxtor, Seagate, Western Digital should have that feature. Don't know about other brands.
