Hi,

My PS2 isn't so great at reading PS2 CD based games (I'd say about 2 in every 20 tries), so I was wondering if its possible to create the ISO of the CD game and then burn it back to a DVD, anyone know if this is possible??

No you cant and why would u just use cd and if u say cause u cant put more that 2 dvd games on 1 cd

Guys,

It IS possible to put cd games on a dvd. My ps2 is the same and has trouble with cd games, so I did some research and found out how :) Basically you:

1) copy the files off the cd to a folder
2) use dvd scanlite to alter the files into dvd format
3) create a dummy.dat file to make the size to over 1 gig (if you're doing just one game as I have done)
4) build an iso using cd dvdgen
5) burn and play!

The important part is using scanlite on the necessary files off the cd to convert them to dvd format, I scan them all just to be on the safe side.

Not all cd games can be converted to dvd, but I've recently done unreal tournament and ready 2 rumble round 2 and both play flawlessly off the dvd.
