I keep getting that message and it closes now when i click backup or reauthor, i tried reintalling, it does this with all dvds, it was working fine up till today, whats going on?

Trying using DVD Decrypter to rip your desired dvd and then use DVD Shrink to re-author/back-up, then burn with desired software.

Latest (and last one) version of DVD Shrink is 3.2

Use a guide from here that suits you the most:
