Small Annoying Problem With Nero

I can burn DVDs very succesfully using Nero but recently my PC crashed during a burn. Now whenever I burn a DVD since this incident the program goes through a speed test and then proceeds to do the burning process. My question is how do I turn off the speed test, I have looked through all of the dropdown menu's but can't see an option to disable this feature.

Nero 6.6.0.8 NVE 3.1.0.0 My Computer is AMD 3200XP+ Asus MB A7N8X-E 1GB of Ram Win Xp Pro. I hope this helps.

It sounds like you may need to update the firmware of you drive but be careful doing this becuase if you dont choose the right on it can harm you drive you can fin them on the support page of the company that made your drive
